BGCA's Brian Ford Named Development Director, Celebrating 20 Years in the Movement

LAFAYETTE, LA— The Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana has named Brian Ford Development Director after 20 years in the movement. Ford, who has held many roles throughout the organization, will lead out on donor relations and fundraising to support the 7 Clubs throughout the region.

In his role as Development Director, Ford is responsible for all fundraising for current and future Clubs. In his role as the Vermilion Club Director, Ford built relationships within the communities he served, and was responsible for leading committees that raised upwards of $400,000 in the last few years. During his time at Boys & Girls Clubs, Ford has had 2 youth win Louisiana State Youth of the Year, was named 20 under 40, received the 2022 Louisiana Cattle Festival Humanitarian of the Year, participated in Leadership Vermilion, and received the High Impact Young Professional Award by the Vermilion Chamber, to name a few.

This year marks the 52nd anniversary of Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana operates under a mission to empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Serving youth in 7 different locations, Boys & Girls Clubs provide opportunities through after school and summer programs which focus on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles & Habits, and Good Character & Leadership. And 8th location in New Iberia’s West End is projected to open in early 2023.
